In my opinion, the only way for Disney to redeem what they did for the interstellar war franchise is to me the end of this movie is: Luke wakes up on the last day after destroying the dying star. He and the company broke up too hard, had a big hangover and a bunch of wasteful ewoks got stoned. recognize ep 7,8 and 9 as just a vivid nightmare, breathe a sigh of relief and whisper, ‘what a nightmare’. I hope they somehow somehow explain the story of Palpatine’s return without making him scared in the story and somehow turn him into the true villain of the film after the series. The last film left us a scary villain like a 14 year old kid going through his emo stage.
I recently reread the Trawn trilogy, and remember why I loved it so much. I’m crazy about Disney for throwing so many cool things into a cylindrical file, but I’ll find this to be no less. Whether it’s a real “Star Wars” or not, I’ll enjoy it because it is: a delicious piece of popcorn keeps me entertained. I think there should be a previous film message dedicated to all the fans of the interstellar war that has passed away and won’t be here to see the conclusion of the Skywalker story. I think it will be very moving and awesome!
